Image / Multimedia-Based Project Proposal Guidelines

Proposals for image- or multimedia-based projects should be submitted as a single Microsoft Word or PDF file that does not exceed 10 MB in size.

In preparing your proposal, note that AJO is hosted on a WordPress platform. Please familiarize yourself with Contemporary Projects previously published on AJO to get a sense of various layout options.

Completed proposals must include:

• A cover page including the artists’ or designers’ names, a 60-word biographical statement for each, postal and email addresses, and (mobile) telephone numbers
• A one-page written project description (Note: This page should not mention the artists’ or designers’ names in case the proposal advances to peer review)
• If your project will require the use of special WordPress “plug-ins” to display your media properly, please make note of this in your project description
• A portfolio of all images or other media along with full captions, image ALT text, and notes on permission sources (Note: Links that allow viewing of media on an external site can also be provided; if these links are not active, the proposal will not be considered further)
